Nickel Boys is a 2024 film based on the true story of the Dozier School for Boys in Marianna, Florida. This is a story of hatred and abuse, a tale of injustice. The movie takes place in the reformation era of America, Martin Luther King Jr. is making moves, the segregation seems to be coming to an end. But for “juvenile” Elwood Curtis, who found himself at the wrong place at the wrong time, the story was different.
